Smart screens for embedded industrial applications

A can be defined as a human-machine interface () that uses interactive graphics displays on a to offer users control of an underlying embedded system.Smart screens come in many shapes and sizes, and can be used for a wide variety of applications, from ticket kiosks to factory control systems. The common denominator is the manner in which people interact with the applications. In contrast to the mouse-driven “point and click” familiar to desktop users, smart screens let users work directly on the screen.

As part of our Industrial Automation program at , we have evaluated different strategies and tools for building smart screens for on systems running the ® Neutrino® RTOS. We have found that meets all the requirements we identified as essential to our industrial smart screen development
