Rochester, NY – July 5, 2016 –D3 Engineering announces the availability of the DesignCore™ Development Kit for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Based on D3's DesignCore™ Rugged Vision Platform (RVP) Reference Design with Texas Instruments (TI) TDA3x Automotive Vision Processor, the new development kit lets product development teams evaluate ADAS technology under realistic on-vehicle conditions.
D3 demonstrated the development kit and a full-sized automotive implementation of its DesignCore™ RVP-TDA3x Reference Design in the TI booth at TU-Automotive Detroit 2016 this month. The ADAS Development Kit is available to qualified design integrators through D3 Engineering.
The DesignCore™ RVP-TDA3x Reference Design enables synchronous acquisition of four HD video streams with real-time vision processing and analytics. The ADAS Development Kit includes this reference design module, four FPD-Link III rugged camera modules, HD video display, cables, software, and calibration tools. It features multiple connectivity interfaces and automotive 12VDC power. Delivered on a convenient wheeled test platform, the components can be easily de-mounted and installed on a test vehicle after initial verification.
D3 Engineering - world-wide authorized development partner for design integration of TI’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology - provides embedded design services, using its optimized reference design modules as a known-good hardware and software launch point to speed development of rugged embedded vision systems for automotive, transportation and industrial applications.
“D3 Engineering’s exceptional DesignCore™ reference design modules make the most of TI ADAS technology, letting OEMs quickly deploy sophisticated driver assistance systems in their vehicles while concentrating on their own value-add,” said Curt Moore, Automotive Processors General Manager at Texas Instruments. “Leveraging their reference designs, expertise in TI technology and a robust development methodology, D3 helps customers get to market fast with the latest innovations from Texas Instruments.”
“TI is leading the way in ADAS technology, with the scalable TDAx platform and seamless technology that lets us adapt to the fast changing needs of the market,” said Jerome Barczykowski, Product Line Manager, Autonomous Systems at D3 Engineering. “We are using the TI platform to help automotive customers deploy vision, radar and sensor fusion systems, and extending these benefits to OEMs in trucking, mining, materials handling and a wide range of other markets.”
The DesignCore ADAS Development Kit is available now to qualified design integrators, and is priced at $4750. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for data sheets, qualification requirements and delivery information.
