AAEON's Latest AEC-6638: Pushing Performance of Fanless PCs to a New Level

Taipei, Taiwan —AAEON®, a major developer of industrial computing solutions, sets new standards of fanless PCs with the release of the new AEC-6638 embedded fanless PC.

Powered by Intel® 4th generation i5 4100E/4400E processor running at 37W, this PC further improves upon its predecessor, the AEC-6637, in terms of display capabilities with the Intel® HD Graphics 4600 engine as well as support for VGA, DVI-D and HDMI devices. Online capabilities are upgraded through the use of the Intel® chip for greater network stability and security. Moreover, adopting the Intel® chip also allows other Intel® technologies to be implemented more easily and compatibly, thus ensuring expandability.

Using AAEON’s unique heat dissipating technology, the PC’s operating temperature range is extended to -10°C - 60°C, the broadest among embedded fanless PCs from other competitors. Other expansions include three COM ports, four USB ports (two are USB 3.0) and one MiniCard slot, with the last option changeable to support mSATA via jumper settings. TPM is built in on this platform for to support hardware security.

With the PC’s enhanced display, online and performance potential, the PC aims to bring system stability to users in the automation industry; reliability and security for the banking and transport industry; interactivity and entertainment value for infotainment applications, such as digital signage. The versatility brought on by these new attributes opens up countless other application opportunities.
